According to a report published by Profi Online Research about 25% of male customers of Russia are ready to change drink in case if increased price of vodka will be comparable with the price of premium class alcohol. 38% of male auditorium said answered that will keep drinking vodka even if the price grows (against 30% among women), and 58% of men (67% of female) supposed to decrease the quantity of vodka drinking. As the research discovers men limit consumption of any drink except vodka to economize more than women. Speaking about vodkas brand loyalty: in case of increase of price of vodka to 10% more than 80% of recipients will stay loyal to their brand, an increase of 20% will frighten 20% more, and less than 40% will drink the same brand in case of grow of price to 30%. This questionnaire covers more than 3,8 thousands of people from cities of more than 100000 of citizens. ZIFFRA, an analytical agency of the sector, reports that the total volume of rum, gin, tequila, absent and so on in Russia is about 50 million liters, at the same time, volume of vodka is 1,5 billion liters. «Today whiskey, rum, gin cost starting from 500 rubles, and not more than 5% of customers drink them regularly, so we should better say that quarter of these people will refuse vodka and start drinking other alcohol, what is 1,5% of total quantity of customers” - says Vadim Drobiz. I remind that according to the project of the order of the Department of Alcohol Control of the Russian Federation minimal retail price of a bottle of vodka 0,5l from the 1st of January will increase to 36% till 170 rubles.
