Pope will become a wine-maker

In the country residence of the new Pope Francis this year two wines will be made for the first time – a white one and a red one. May be this is the voice of blood of his parents – wine-makers from Piedmont, a region famous for its vineyards and wine traditions. A grandfather of the pontific, Francesco Bergolio came from the Asti province where he owned a vineyard and made wine of a Piedmont grape variety Grognolino. The father of Pope-to-come immigrated to Argentina in 1929, the country became the Motherland of Jorge Mario. Italian wine-makers feel their-selves God blessed and called Pope Francis “Grignolino Patriarch”. They rely a lot on resurrection of production of this red Piedmont wine. Source – www.alconews.ru
