A citizen of Germany drinks about 9,6 liter of pure alcohol per year in average. These are 325 bottles of beer, 27 bottles of wine, 5 bottles of Champagne and 7 bottles of vodka – a full bath filled with alcohol. The data are presented in an annual report on the 3rd of April by a German center of prevention and struggle against alcohol and drug dependence (DeutscheHauptstellefürSuchtfragen, DHS). DHS sounds the alarm as such a consumption of alcohol is dangerous for health. According to the data of the Institute in 2011 74 thousand people died because of over-drinking of alcohol in Germany, and 3,3 million people identified an alcohol dependence, informs KNA. Alcohol damages not only the heels of German people, but their economics. Damage of work-missing and early pensions due to the diseases provoked by alcohol consumption is 26,7 billions of Euro per year reports the DPA agency. Currently in the FRG there 1300 active organizations aimed to help people to struggle an alcohol dependence. A half of a million people address to them annually. Source - www.dw.de
