14 km away from antique Hersones archeologists discovered a winery dated IVth century before J.C. The site where the enterprise was placed was fortified and prepared to a long siege of Nomads. Russian and Ukrainian archeologists work at the excavations. The chief o0f the expedition Galina Nikolaenko says that since IV to II century before J.C. That was a fortified post aimed to protect the winery from Scythian, composed of young Hersonezites.
