The 25th of December 2012 a meeting concerning regional market of alcohol in the Krasnodar region took place presided by vice-governor, minister of agriculture and processing industry of the Krasnodar region Mr. Eduard Kutigin. Alexey Titov, head of the Department of Consumer Sector and Alcohol Market Regulation of the Krasnodar region, Oleg Tolmachev,head of Department of Vine-growing, Wine-making and Horticulture of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Mahagers of winemaking enterprises of the region, representatives of the leading operators of the regional market of alcohol products assisted the meeting. The main aim of the meeting was to find solution of problems of popularization of wine products of Kuban at regional and federal levels. Eduard Kutigin remarked that qualified wine should be available what means presented at all points of sales and in HoReCa easy to taste. “Wine-making is a business card of Kuban. And Kuban wines really worth a great respect as well as gratitude to the wine-makers who give a part of their soul for creation of this fine product, - said the Minister, - today we fight for a law of vine-growing and wine-making which define the general possibility of development of the sector in the region, so not only 20 firms could do that but thousands of people, officially with license. And we consider this way as production development followed by income into budget of the region.” Eduard Kutigin accented attention of the representatives of wholesalers on the fact of acceptation of the Kuban wines at the international market, and that this high-quality natural product should be demanded at the local market. “Today about 3 billion rubles come into the budget form excise payment. We think that at least five billions of excise should be made by the coming year. It is evident that our producers can produce such volume of wine with quality proved by exhibitions in London, Vienna, Hong-Kong by 44 medals,” - concluded the Minister. As a mechanism of promotion of the wines of Kuban following ways were previewed – partnership of producers and distributors, active positionning of the brand “Wine of Kuban is a pride of Russia” in retail network and in HoReCa, struggle against false and bad-quality alcohol distribution.
