2012 is coming to its end and this is time to summarize. This is what Wine Spectator has done by making top-100 wines of 2012. The best wine of the Dragon year Wine Spectator named Relentless Napa Valley 2008 from Shafer. It has got 96 points from 100 possible. The price of the question is 60 dollars. This blend of Syrah and Petite Syrah was appreciated grace to its force, structure and complex taste. The second place was taken by a French wine of Chateau de St.-Cosme (Gigondas) 2010. The wine which has got 95 points costs 41 dollar. This blended wine contents 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre and 2% Cinsault. It's recommended to taste from 2015 till 2030. Top five includes also Two Hands - Shiraz Barossa Valley Bella's Garden 2010 from Australia (69 dollars, 95 points); Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2010 from Close des Papes, France (128, 98 points) and Sauternes 2009 from Chateau Guiraud (60 dollars, 96 points). Top ten is added by Chateau Leoville Barton 2009 (St.-Julien) (105 dollars, 95 points); Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Shea Vineyard Estate 2009 from Shea (40 dollars and 94 points); Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley Reserve 2009 from Beringer for 45 dollars with 94 points; Brunello di Montalcino 2007 from Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona for 60 долларов and 94 points; Malbec Mondoza Finca Bella Vista 2010 from Achaval-Ferrer - 120 dollars and 95 points. The most expensive wines from the list are Chateau Lynch Bages 2009 (Pauillac) and Monte Bello Santa Cruz Mountains 2009 from Ridge. They've taken 93rd and 94th places with price of 150 dollars. The cheapest one is Chianti 2010 from Folonari for 9 dollars it has got 90 points and the 41st place. The last place in the list of the best wines of the year of Dragon was given to Aglianico Irpinia 2008 from Italian winery Donnachiara with the price of 20 dollars and 90 points from journalists. As states Wine Spectator participants of the list were chosen from 17 000 pretenders testes in blind. More than 5,5 thousands have got 90 or even more at the Wine Spectators scale. The criteria of choice were: quality of wine in points, cost, availability (quantity of cases) and some other factors.
