In China the share of imported wine grows

 
 
French wine producers started to sell premium wines to China at lower prices that provoked decrease of volume of sales of expensive wines in China in 2012. Recession showed 11%, in average decrease of price of wine of 2013 vintage is about a third. The wine price level is now the lowest since 2008. For example, the company Château Lafite-Rothschild sells a bottle for 457 dollars, 17% lower than in 2012 and 42% lower than in 2011. To remind, in August 2012 the Wine-making branch of China Wine Association addressed a demand to the Ministry of Commerce of China regarding start of an anti-dumping inspection of European wines. China increased significantly import of foreign wines. In 2008 China imported 35944 kiloliters of wine from European Union and in 2011 – four times more – 169114 kl. In average this rate is growing to 67,71% per year. The share if imported European wine at China market grew from 4,94% till 14,32%. Source – www.alconews.ru
