Bordeaux wines became cheaper

Leading wine-makers of the French province Bordeaux at the sales en primeur (analogue of future trading of wine) decreased seriously the prices of wine of the vintage 2012. As reports The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Chateau Lafite-Rothschild offers а bottle of wine for 350 Euro — to 17% lower the price of en primeur in 2011 and to 42% vs 2010. Last week another wine house — Chateau Mouton-Rothschild fixed the price of 240 Euro per bottle, to 33% lower than the same offer in 2011. The prices of wine 2012 of one more famous Bordeaux house — Chateau Lynch-Bages are fixed as 60 Euro per bottle: lower to 13%, write “Vedomosti”. At the sales of en primeur more than 2000 producers from Bordeaux present their products, but this year Chateau Latour refused the participation, the decision was taken by the owner, a French multi-millionaire Francois Pinault, to sell wine without futures directly to the companies accredited by the wine exchange of Bordeaux.
